The Young Women went to Camp Zarahemla this year, July 14-17 2021. The camp theme was Hearts United in a Great Work. Our goal was to become more unified as a young women group and have each girl feel loved and included. We first started out hiking Adam’s Canyon and sharing temple stories along the way. We then stopped at a park for lunch and painted rocks to add to the rock path at the Layton temple that is being constructed. The girls were able to participate in various activities at camp, including a big slip-n-slide, a break-out box, archery, and string art. One day we all went to East Canyon and the girls were able to use the inflatable obstacle course and swim. Skits and testimony meeting were a favorite part of camp and really brought the girls closer to each other. We are grateful to our camp director, Heather Lyman, for all of her hard work making camp such a success. We are also grateful to the Priesthood leaders who came out each day to be with us. The girls were amazing and truly sought out the ‘one’ every day. We love them and are so grateful for their examples and testimonies.
The young women were able to meet before camp to make their tie dye camp shirts. The girls had fun choosing their design and colors and they all ended up with beautiful shirts!
Stay tuned…
