 Hi ya and Aloha!!
>
>
> So I feel like I am back in Hawaii because it has been super sunny and may I say warm….weird, it still rains so feels like my wee island out in the pacfic!
>
> We do service with a group of older people in the community and they bring hot cocoa just for us because they know we don’t drink tea. So kind. Well anyway, we were weeding and cutting but we left a ton of BIG bushes because we need to let the weeds grow with the flowers. Huh, sometimes we need to grow next to the weeds not to become them but so that we have the opportunity to grow bigger, stronger, and taller than the weeds. Don’t stop if the weeds of life enclose on you. Know that a loving gardner, Heavenly Father is aware and is allowing you to grow through the weeds, because He knows you were planted to be a flower

> Shoutout to the subject liner:
> So I attempted to make my mom’s famous cookies…however due to my oven lacking direction on it (no wording/symbol for bake, grill, or broil setting). To make matters more complicated, we had to look up the temp. converter. sooooo the cookies were super fluffy and did not taste like my sweet mother’s recipe. Well we brought them to a member and they saved us and gave us sweets haha! (not how that was suppose to work) But we were talking about the baking fail. She asked about my flour. Low and behold all-purpose flour is plain flour here. So I had the wrong flour! We will try again!
> So we are trying our best daily to fulfill our purpose to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring until the end. But we have no flour…oops

😬

We were set apart to preach the Gospel not to match make!

You will never believe this! Buckle Up!So our recent convert is amazing! We are trying to find her another new covenant to make…eternal marriage in the temple! Hehe.So there is a really amazing member in the ward so we casually asked if he would be willing to joint teach with us and her. (Like where they help us teach the gospel, friends and family at home I invite you all to do it, I promise it will strengthen your testimony & the people that hear you bare testimony😊) They totally hit it off in the lesson and the spirit was super powerful! Sister Kretzschmar and I were hitting each other the whole time under the table, because we were so happy! So, then after the lesson our friend was definitely interested in him. We had to see if he felt the same way. He said “ya she is a great solid, really good, great girl.” I start dancing around the room jumping for joy. Then he sends right after that “you know call me crazy, but I think she would be a good match for Aidan (another friend we are teaching) I fall to the floor heart broken! So then we said “oh funny we thought you two would be good” no reply back…crickets.Later that night as I am Journaling I realize that he must have been talking about our friend joining a lesson with Aidan not to date him! So we hurry and text him and blame it all on Sister Kretzschmar English being her second language haha! Then the next day after feeling like we went through high school dating and heartbreak all over again I said the famous line “this is why we are set apart to preach the Gospel, not to match make!” But we will keep you posted if anything happens 😉
We saw lots of miracles!! A sweet senior sister took us out to lunch and she has traveled and seems to have done it all! We spoke of the blessings of the gospel and I wish I knew her when she was 20 going to school in France and taking turns sneaking out to see the city! Our waiter basically spent every moment he could with us. He was super intrigued about our name tags and Jesus Christ, destiny. Our sweet sister was our third companion, she taught so well and naturally shared the beliefs of the Church and he had a Scottish/Italian accent so that was rough but she had the Spirit lead and help her help us understand him! Every time he left the table she had a huge smile on her face and was so gitty and said “I can’t believe this is happening, never would I thought this would happen at a restaurant, I love this!” Sharing the gospel truly does touch souls and gives you light! Sister Buckley was a true testimony of that! We gave him our number, pass along card of Christ in Sister Buckley’s favorite chapter Alma 32 in the Book of Mormon and gave him a Book of Mormon (always carry a Book of Mormon you never know when the opportunity will present itself).
Love, Love

Bye Hawaii Hello Scotland!

My journey to Scotland ended in a 20+ hour travel time..that was long. But by God’s grace we made it. I am excited to start my journey! Where should I visit first?
