We were set apart to preach the Gospel not to match make!
You will never believe this! Buckle Up!So our recent convert is amazing! We are trying to find her another new covenant to make…eternal marriage in the temple! Hehe.So there is a really amazing member in the ward so we casually asked if he would be willing to joint teach with us and her. (Like where they help us teach the gospel, friends and family at home I invite you all to do it, I promise it will strengthen your testimony & the people that hear you bare testimony) They totally hit it off in the lesson and the spirit was super powerful! Sister Kretzschmar and I were hitting each other the whole time under the table, because we were so happy! So, then after the lesson our friend was definitely interested in him. We had to see if he felt the same way. He said “ya she is a great solid, really good, great girl.” I start dancing around the room jumping for joy. Then he sends right after that “you know call me crazy, but I think she would be a good match for Aidan (another friend we are teaching) I fall to the floor heart broken! So then we said “oh funny we thought you two would be good” no reply back…crickets.Later that night as I am Journaling I realize that he must have been talking about our friend joining a lesson with Aidan not to date him! So we hurry and text him and blame it all on Sister Kretzschmar English being her second language haha! Then the next day after feeling like we went through high school dating and heartbreak all over again I said the famous line “this is why we are set apart to preach the Gospel, not to match make!” But we will keep you posted if anything happens
We saw lots of miracles!! A sweet senior sister took us out to lunch and she has traveled and seems to have done it all! We spoke of the blessings of the gospel and I wish I knew her when she was 20 going to school in France and taking turns sneaking out to see the city! Our waiter basically spent every moment he could with us. He was super intrigued about our name tags and Jesus Christ, destiny. Our sweet sister was our third companion, she taught so well and naturally shared the beliefs of the Church and he had a Scottish/Italian accent so that was rough but she had the Spirit lead and help her help us understand him! Every time he left the table she had a huge smile on her face and was so gitty and said “I can’t believe this is happening, never would I thought this would happen at a restaurant, I love this!” Sharing the gospel truly does touch souls and gives you light! Sister Buckley was a true testimony of that! We gave him our number, pass along card of Christ in Sister Buckley’s favorite chapter Alma 32 in the Book of Mormon and gave him a Book of Mormon (always carry a Book of Mormon you never know when the opportunity will present itself).
